This multi-activity getaway takes you to discover the landscapes and experiences that make winter in Saguenay so rich.
Take the handlebars of an electric snowmobile to ride the snowy trails, feel the energy of a dog-sledding ride and discover ice fishing on the fjord with a guide.
Continue the adventure in the Monts Valin, where a day of snowshoeing awaits in the Vallée des Fantômes. Reached by winter shuttle, this area is famous for its trees covered in remarkable accumulations of snow.
A visit to the Musée du Fjord rounds out the getaway, while Hôtel Les Battures welcomes you each evening after your activities.

Check-in and discovering the fjord
Settle in at Hôtel Les Battures, your home base for the coming days of adventure.
Use this first day to visit the Musée du Fjord and discover its exhibits on the history, wildlife and environment of this exceptional region.
The rest of the day gives you time to unwind and enjoy the hotel's facilities before the activities of the following days.
Dog-sledding ride
Meet the guides and dogs of Alaskan du Nord for the Boréal ride.
Discover the kennel, watch the teams being harnessed and set off for about 2.5 hours through the forest. An experience that shows you the dogs' work and lets you fully enjoy the snowy landscapes.
The day also leaves free time to relax and enjoy Hôtel Les Battures.
A day of electric snowmobiling
Take the handlebars of an electric snowmobile for a full day on Saguenay's trails.
After receiving your gear and a driving introduction, follow your guide through the winter landscapes. The route, breaks and pace of the ride are adapted to the conditions and the group.
Lunch is included during the excursion, then return to Hôtel Les Battures for dinner and the evening.
Ice-fishing expedition on the fjord
Head out for a day of ice fishing beyond the ice-fishing village, on the Saguenay Fjord when ice conditions allow safe access.
With a guide, learn the fishing techniques, the equipment and what makes this traditional activity special. Then enjoy your day on the ice in a unique winter landscape.
Lunch is included. The location and format of the expedition are adapted to ice and weather conditions.
Snowshoeing in the Vallée des Fantômes
End your getaway with an outdoor day in the Monts Valin, discovering the spectacular Vallée des Fantômes.
A winter shuttle in a tracked vehicle takes you into the area, where you can snowshoe the trails among trees covered in thick layers of snow.
Hiking time is adapted to the schedule of the booked shuttle. Lunch is included, then return and end of the getaway according to the agreed schedule.

Transfers from Quebec City or between activities can be arranged for an extra fee. You can also add a night at the end of your stay.
Preparing for your winter getaway in Saguenay
What to bring
Pack clothing suited to winter activities: thermal underwear, warm mid-layers, extra socks, a neck warmer and comfortable clothes for evenings at the hotel.
Extreme-cold clothing is provided during your stay. Also bring your personal items and any documents required for the activities booked.
Conditions and schedule
The program is provided for information purposes. The order of activities may change depending on the weather, winter conditions and our partners' availability.
Activities are supervised by the teams responsible for each one. No guide accompanies the group for the entire stay.
The ice-fishing expedition on the fjord depends on safe access to the ice.
Access to the Vallée des Fantômes depends on the availability of the Sépaq winter shuttle, which may be changed or cancelled depending on conditions. Hiking time, snowshoe equipment and access fees will be confirmed at booking.
Snowmobile drivers must meet the requirements for age, driver's licence and the mandatory introduction session.
