This multi-activity getaway invites you to discover different sides of Saguenay, through outdoor activities, winter landscapes and encounters with local people.
Take the handlebars of an electric snowmobile for a day on the trails, feel the energy of a dog-sledding ride and head out on an ice-fishing expedition on the fjord when conditions allow.
Round out your getaway with a visit to the Musée du Fjord and a day at the Bec-Scie outdoor centre, where a range of activities let you enjoy winter at your own pace.
After each day, return to the comfort of Hôtel Les Battures to relax and enjoy your evening.
Your 4-day getaway itinerary
Dog sledding and Musée du Fjord
Start your getaway by meeting the guides and dogs of Alaskan du Nord. Discover the kennel, help harness the teams and set off on the Boréal ride, which offers about 2.5 hours in the forest.
Depending on the schedule, use the other part of the day to visit the Musée du Fjord and discover its exhibits on the region and its environment.
Return to Hôtel Les Battures for dinner and the evening.
A day of electric snowmobiling
Take the handlebars of an electric snowmobile for a full day on Saguenay's trails.
After receiving your gear and a driving introduction, follow your guide through the snowy landscapes. The pace and stops are adapted to the group and the conditions.
Lunch is provided during the excursion, then return to Hôtel Les Battures at the end of the day.
Ice-fishing expedition on the fjord
Head out for a day of ice fishing beyond the ice-fishing village, on the Saguenay Fjord when ice conditions allow safe access.
With a guide, learn the fishing techniques, the equipment and what makes this winter activity special. Then enjoy your time on the ice and a classic Quebec winter experience.
Lunch is included. The location and format of the activity are adapted to ice and weather conditions.
An outdoor day at Bec-Scie
For your last day, head to the Bec-Scie outdoor centre, an ideal spot to enjoy Saguenay's snowy landscapes.
Depending on conditions and available activities, explore the trails at your own pace. Equipment can be borrowed on site for various winter activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ski-shoeing and fat biking.
Lunch is included, then return to Hôtel Les Battures and end of the getaway according to the agreed schedule.

Preparing for your winter getaway in Saguenay
What to bring
Pack clothing suited to winter activities: thermal underwear, warm mid-layers, extra socks, a neck warmer and comfortable clothes for evenings at the hotel.
Extreme-cold clothing is provided during your stay. Also bring your personal items and any documents required for the activities booked.
Conditions and schedule
The program is provided for information purposes. The order and intensity of activities may be adapted depending on the weather, winter conditions, our partners' availability and the group's level.
Activities are supervised by the teams responsible for each one. No guide accompanies the group for the entire stay.
The ice-fishing expedition on the fjord depends on safe access to the ice. The location of the activity may change depending on conditions.
